.. in a blink .. Part 1 -- Here I am..

its been long since i wrote.. its been long since i really felt that i should write..
life never stopped amazing me though.. too many happenings since I wrote last..
It's been a month full of emotions; I'd say.

Emotions other than ecstasy have been alien to me. well.. this post.. a long one, in series, will try to encompass the one month ride.. the pace at which life's racing.. this one is surely gonna be .. in a blink.

Sneak peek.. i did sneak out the long weekend of 29th May for vacation to meet my college friends -- Sumant and Akshay.. 21st May was when I planned my vacation at Smokey Mountains via Nashville. Nashville is the place where Sumu is studying his PhD at Vanderbilt univ. Its a total of 9 hours drive to Smokey.. with 6 hrs to Nashville.

Entire Infy onsite folks had their plans for Smokey this long weekend.. so i joined in with the Vaibhav sharma group to drive till Nashville; which was on the way from Saint Louis to Smokey.

I had bought a Digicam from ebay so that I could capture my first vacation in US. Alas, the delivery of the digicam did'nt happen on Thursday as promised..
I got the charger, the SanDisk SD card but No camera.. aah... We we to leave home on Friday evening.. I hoped the camera to arrive by then..

I came early from office to still find No camera ! dream shattered.. wait a minute... I have ordered the camera at Malay's residence... oops.. i rushed to
his place.. to find no one at home.. Malay was on vacation to India.. his other 2 roomies according to rumours where out on vacation already... oops..
so i started my journey without a camera.... arre chuk de patthe... kahani mein twist... :-)

Vaibhav sharma kuch ghar se lena bhool gaye teh.. so we came back.. Malay's house comes in the way back home.. I just peeped out to see for the last time if anybody was home.. Wow.. I saw light in 5595 Apt C.. that is Malay's house.. well.. this light proved to be the light at the end of the tunnel.. hehe.. STOP DA CAR...... rushed out .. ran ran... got camera.. got it loaded with charged batteries and my SD card.. and i went shooting... :-)

Awesome Camera.. the camera has proved to be more than awesome... the flash is excellant, zoom cool, looks funky, the swivel of the display mind blowing, video recording just perfect.... Shooting is wat i did all my way to Nashville..

Nashville is the new home to Sumu.. Meeting him brought back the lovely memories of our final year engineering project at IIT.. we partied all night at his place.. Akshay had come to Nashville for his Phd was approved with Doug at Vandy..
We spoke about all the things on this planet.. few things had changed since we last met.. Sumu was as he was in his engg days.. Akshay.. i knew little then.. but i think he too was just the same ol kid.. still steady with his GF.. both envied my still being single.. and ready to mingle.. hehe ;-)

Come Saturday.. we went to Opryland hotel in Nashville as nice big hotel.. later that evening we went to a local Club.. Sunday got up late.. rushed to Smokey..

We came to Smokey;
We saw snake, deer, and a bear, perhaps almost slept with one; and
We captured each other.. with memoriers of college, the happenings in each of our lives post college.. wow.. exemplary experience. Smokey experience comes next..
