Hollywood of the East Vs Traditional East

Once upon a time in India; and that was not too long ago, skimpy wear was uncommon. Well, i am not referring to mumbai or delhi. Bollywood did have short stints of flesh from likes of Dimple kapadias and Parvin babi. But the chain of flaunting flesh started with Bips. After that Mallika Sherawat took it a newer height.. Then on sporting sexy dresses or skin has been a norm in the movies with Sania Mirzas, Tanushree Duttas.

Has an Indian woman wearing traditional dress? or an indian muslim wearing burkha discussed for her attire? Question comes, why would we ever discuss that.. thats normal.. isnt it !!!

Perhaps not.. Not in Egypt!

In the country that proudly calls itself the "Hollywood of the East," a group of actresses has touched off a furor by appearing on television and movies with a new look: the conservative Islamic veil.

Now that's impressive ! However, unlike India, Egypt is moving opposite.. Woman earlier not wearing hijab or higab are now moving towards it. The form of "wearing the veil" in Egypt is known as higab or hijab. It includes a headscarf and a loose-fitting, long-sleeved top and pants or a long skirt. The most conservative -- and far less common -- form of veil is niqab, a face-covering veil, usually black, that leaves only the eyes uncovered. The actresses have adopted the higab, which lets the face show.

Moving towards conservatism !!! thats even more impressive.. or is it??
